Roland started his career in real estate in 2003 and has been a licensed Maine Realtor for over 23 years. As the co-owner of United Realty, he holds a Designated Broker's license. Together, he and his mother, Fran, work as a team to provide the best possible service for their clients. Before getting his real estate license, Roland learned the building trade with his friend and mentor, Jack Ruth. Jack and Roland built many houses together in Knox and Waldo Counties. His experience in the building trade offers Buyers and Sellers the benefit of his expertise.
In addition to his professional work, Roland is highly active in the community. He serves as a volunteer firefighter for the Belfast Fire and Rescue and is a Director for the Waldo County YMCA, where he also serves on the facilities sub-committee. Passionate about youth sports, he has coached baseball, football, basketball, and hockey in Waldo County for most of his adult life. He currently coaches House Hockey at MRC in Rockport and serves as both a coach and the treasurer for the newly formed NextGen Youth Football for Belfast.
During the summer, Roland works on his family's farm during the haying season, a tradition he has upheld since childhood and is now passing down to his children. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf at the Northport Golf Club. Roland resides in Belfast with his wife, Jennifer, who teaches Health and PE at Belfast Area High School, and their three children, Theodore, Thomas, and Lila.
